Educational Guidelines
We follow
the 'Early Years Foundation Stage' (EYFS) which brings together a number
of guidelines and practices into a single, coherent framework for the
care and education of children from 0 to 5 years. It recognises that
every child is an individual and that they all learn and develop at
different rates.
EYFS continues until the end of the Reception year at primary school, thereby offering continuity in care and learning. Our staff plan learning activities for all the children but are also receptive to individual children's interests and ideas. Planning may, therefore, be altered to accommodate child led activities. Staff will discuss your child's development with you at regular intervals and are always open to conversations if you have a concern about your child.

Activities
Our activities are play-based with the emphasis on learning through play. We provide a rich activity-centered environment in which children can engage in spontaneous play. We have a strong tradition of excellent craft which links with the themes being explored in sessions. The children regularly enjoy walks around the village, fortnightly visits to the mobile library and trips to locations such as Easton Farm Park, Framlingham Castle and Easton Harrier Kennels.
Our pre-school children also enjoy yoga and French sessions, which are free of charge. Yoga sessions are held every Monday afternoon and are run by a qualified yoga teacher. French sessions are held on Friday mornings and are run by a teacher from Easton CP School.
