Easton Preschool is open in term-time only. We are now open 5 days a week 8.30am-4pm We aim to keep our costs low whilst still providing high quality childcare. We are looking into producing hot meals on site, however we are currently asking that you bring a healthy packed lunch (lunchtime is 12-1pm) and a morning and afternoon snack consisting of fruit and /or vegetables in a named pot. ClothingChildren can wear whatever they choose to preschool. We encourage children to wear what they feel comfortable in, but be aware they may get them paint messy, dirty or wet! We do keep spare clothes in the event of any accident but ask you to pack 2 sets (including socks and underwear) in their named back pack. We do consider a warm coat and wellington boots essential for the farm environment so ask that they turn up with wellies on and change into a pair of plimsolls or Doodles (to also be kept in their back pack) once with us. When we are out and about on the farm, we provide matching high viz jackets for all of the children.

Government FundingWe are registered to receive Government funding in the term following your child’s 3rd birthday and for some children in the term following their 2nd birthday.
All 3&4 year olds receive 15hours of childcare funding(called Universal Funding). Any time booked over the 15 hours will be charged for. 30 hours funding for working parents of 3&4 year olds. This is 15hours Universal + 15 hours extended childcare funding for working parents and is available to eligible families. If you think you may be eligible please visit Childcare Choices the GOV.UK website, to obtain a funding code which will give you additional information about the government led scheme. We are accepting 'Shared Funding' if you require your child to attend more than one setting or go to a childminder. Parents will be given a funding form to fill in at the start of each term which will enable them to discuss how they would like to use their child's funded hours. For non-funded children or additional hours, parents are billed in advance each half term for the sessions they have booked. Funding for two year olds. Some children aged two may be eligible for 15 hours childcare if you meet certain criteria. To find out if your two year old can get funded childcare, check online at: www.suffolk.gov.uk/two or if you have received a 'golden ticket' from Suffolk County Council bring it along to us to claim the 15 hours. Other ways to help with the cost of childcare - To see if you are eligible for the scheme called Tax-free Childcare (TFC). Visit the HMRC website to apply and look out for our account on there. This scheme replaces the existing Employer Childcare Voucher Scheme - which continues to run if you are eligible but parents will need to already be registered on it with their employer to continue to use it. |
