Easton Pre-School is a small setting and we have a very welcoming and homely approach. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which brings together a number of guidelines and practices into a single, coherent framework for the care and education of children from 0 to 4 years.
There are seven areas of learning and development that shape educational programs in early years settings. The three prime areas are communication and language, physical development and personal, social and emotional development. We also support children in the four specific areas through which the three prime areas are strengthened and applied. These are: literacy, mathematics, understanding the world and expressive art and design.
We want to plan activities your child will enjoy so we welcome any information you can give on your child’s interests as well as any comments you have on how they are progressing .
We record your child's achievements via the online system of Tapestry, where parents access their child's account and can add their own photos and comments.
Our friendly, experienced and committed staff are skilled in caring for children with differing degrees of educational needs.
Our staff keep their mandatory training of Paediatric and Emergency First Aid and Safeguarding courses up to date. They also undertake a number of additional professional courses designed to help keep Easton Pre-School's practice up to date and to continually develop.
We are always willing to discuss your child’s progress with you and to help you with any queries or concerns in any way we can. Please feel free to talk to us when you drop off or collect your child and if you would prefer a more private discussion this can be arranged.
We endeavour to provide the highest possible level of care and education at all times. Any queries or suggestions you may have please feel free to contact us.
